Some Day

Someday we're going to take a walk

maybe a long sunset one along a beach

where we'll find a stairway to our dreams

that won't be so far out of reach

It could be a cosy country cabin

with a wood fire glowing on a hearth

just a tiny speck of our idea of heaven

for us to share down here on earth

It could be a old Victorian Mansion

atop it's roof I see a widow's walk

where the spirit of a Captain's lady

at night sometimes we'd hear her talk

Maybe just a simple little travel trailor

on some sandy deserted piece of shore

campfire for singsongs and marshmallows

I ask you, who could really ask for more

Some day we'll take a walk together

if we don't forget how to dream...
