Drowning

Sun sinks low on the skyline of reason

Storm clouds blocking a lover's beacon

Uncertainty raining on a fool's parade

What is real, what is pride's charade

Plea to the heavens above echo hollow

Hopes on scraps of paper more to follow

Life preserver tossed reads "I love you!"

"Don't let me drown in this sea of blue"

Just the right words from one we love can make us feel like we've been rescued from drowning, that's for certain. Nicely written piece, Fee. ~Elizabeth

Love and life Felix are seas filled with life preservers. Some we are capable of reaching and use to save ourselves. Others will always be located, just out of our reach. It is therefore incumbent upon us to remain tenacious and committed to survive. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Excellent, Felix. You made it concise. You made it simple. You made it profound. All of that I've said made me like it.

Were it not for those life preservers at crucial times we may well drown in sorrow. I can so relate to this deep emotional reflection.
Blessings,
Christine
