Wind sings songs full of yearning
Raindrops tap window beseeching
No sunrise glory awoke morning
All dark shades of dirty gray light
Pigeons seek comfort in cooing
Traffic in a funeral march crawl
We struggle with our daily existence
Seeing sadly the write on the wall
Long for the sunshine to warm me
Shun gray like a worn out old sweater
That is my prayer for the day…..
It was a dark day here too, Fee...at least outside! Don't worry my friend, the sun will shine again....enjoyed...your words reflected my mood today as well....better days ahead!
My kind of Poeish poetry, and the photo goes right along with it. I remember living in LA and the days were almost always looked like this picture, although I think it is raining here. Smog so bad your eyes burnt. Nice work.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
