Did the loss of your innocence,
not leave you
with the comfort of sleep?
Has intolerance
allways brought you
the joy of morning?
Does being alone
reward your soul
yet burden your heart?
Is it only this coincidence
that binds us
and makes me feel complete?
You leave me crying
in my lonliness beside you,
Have you stopped sharing
because you already
have more of me
than you care to keep?
I succumb,
to the power of your independence
and your scourning.
Yet I'm only surrendering
to the hope and joy
in my will to hold you
that keeps me whole.
Could it be,
you just were'nt made
to need anyone
let alone me.
Maybe I don't have the right
to expect you to place me
above the rest of the world
or let me
touch your heart
just because
you want to hold me.
