In my night of self indulgence,
to cry is all I need,
to free my mind to wander,
to cause my soul to bleed.
In my day of heartache,
just one smile is all I seek
a lonely look,
to allow the joy in my heart some room,
and time to learn
how to keep hate from making me weak.
In my hour of longing,
just one little hope for love is all I need,
to keep me searching for,
the true love on which my soul longs to feed,
the empty sadness of another,
reaching out to hold me,
that draws me closer to myself.
