Gentle and alive

wild and free

alone we've sought to strive

and yearned to see

The beauty of our separate existence

and all the good that we could be

We've suffered and we've thrived

and often found ourselves deep in need

and longing for the love of each other

that no other could give no matter how they tried

You see we were both planted in the beginning

from a single seed

through our lives apart we have grown together

into the halves that make our whole

now with every breath we take we know

we're two hearts within one soul.
