Marching on and on
to the sound,
drones of evil's visceral hum
scarring our lives
and leading our freedoms to ruin

singing loud the prescribed harmonies
that abound
songs of joy and tears
age old melodies
that bring every failure and shortcoming
near

Will we forever
kneel and bow to the sound
of every entity
that seeks to lead our lives
to their own gain

when we know full well
we possess the final words
in our lives to be said

Why not save ourselves
and lead ourselves,
our souls
down the paths
of our own love and goodwill instead.
