Wait. Don't go to sleep. When the dark side of the known covers the earth in blackness, stay awake. When the darkness crawls under your skin, don't cover your eyes. Let it come in. Tell it you know what it's up to, how it plans to create a mass state of sleep. This false embrace. So stay awake. Stand up and meet it this force that takes. This fearful nothingness that only breaks the backs of everyone in its wake. Carry your courage like a child. protect it, feed it, let it breathe let it speak. And stay awake.
