I just wish

you would have asked my opinion
before you became another minion

showed me the tell-tale sign
before you traded away your mind

reached out a line in question
before you eschewed suggestion

offered a sound explanation
before you began degredation

looked into the eyes of kinships
before you slew relationships

Now you wish

you could go back to the purity
of a life filled with security

you had the trust and the humor
of a person outside the rumor

you knew the smell of success
of a future not trapped in regress

you could avoid the constant binder
of a chemically dependant reminder

you might waken and not have to know
of your choice to trade love for blow
