The soft light fades darkness pours in like rushing water and the sounds oh, the sounds Little boys call out for the strong hand of their father the tension surrounds oh, it surrounds Shadows join brothers to become one great collection the chill like fire oh, hot like fire Lonliness has come to perform nightly inspection come join the choir oh, subtle the choir Faults sung like facets echo to entice and destroy loud as they please oh, and they please Brace for the torture you are in darkness' employ till morning's release oh, morning's release Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2005

I especially like the rhyme sequence in this one. The anticipation is breathtaking. Gorgeous poem.

sometimes we must be surrounded by darkness to see the light within ... the juxtapositioning of images enhances this poem effectiveness ...and the concept is focused and inspired ...

An intense, dramatic, and foreboding write. The ironic paradox of the title plays out well throughout the body and music of the poem itself. Enjoyed it very much.
