Now you're musing
"Where have you gone?"
It is of my choosing
that my face I shun.

I heard it softly
in that tone and manner.
Loud and quite costly
wrapped in a banner.

In short, I was out,
removed from the scene.
It was always about
and ever unseen.

I have so much fear
of the next coming days
with things so unclear
and what I will face.

Handling my removal
is too great a task.
so with great disapproval
this is all that I ask.

Inevitable ending
yes, I knew it was coming.
Please stop pretending-
the pain is all summing.

Just remember we dared
when the task was infernal
and the time that we shared
will be with me eternal.
