You ought to... and then you do, like a slipknot encircling my spirit, white hot reapplying the pressure I sought spacial and basic (like I forgot) I might have... but then I don't, like a recoil and a contemplative gargoyle all thoughts tracing to foil tumult redressed in turmoil It was obvious... so that it would, but alas, broken the remedy swift, sour, unspoken bending knees on floors oaken gesture grand; a gentle token And inevitably... refired in kilns, hewn from gold a memory of things newly old the pretense of a tale untold a poet sweating the bitter cold Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2005
