She is a face that is behind him
And he just doesn’t get it
His novelties – a mere whim
Just to say he doesn’t sweat it

She is a place that is within him
And he might reveal his flaws
To expand those places most grim
Might broker the inherent cause

She is a grace that is under fire
And he seems to casually care
The undying need to reacquire
Seems to be inured in despair

She was a trace that is denied might
And he dreams of her spirit unbound
More often than not and in spite
Dreams of the divine are unfound
