The water races down in rivulets And returns me again to unclean I empty my head and then my mind And curse the thoughts in between The mirror is whole and broken The image afforded unknown I pause soft and then � disconnect At the lack of resemblance shown The face I see has the makings Of steel much stronger than this Sad, though, now it is wayward And spirited away far from bliss Smooth to the touch of the eye The surface remains unshattered Cast back at the wearer of this My life, in all � pieces scattered Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2006
