I've a frozen teardrop on my shoulder
something I see now that I'm older
watering my stature with weight unborn
The stain spreads out in circular graph
the sadness so thick I have to laugh
washing the trust from a face forlorn
Soon it will dry and fade to recall
awaiting the thunder of the next tearfall
the fabric of sanity unjustly torn
As the replacement wells and makes for the floor
I shrug and hasten the shock to my core
The treads of my heart hopelessly worn
