This is a Faux Haiku in the style of Mari D'India

Your heart's lotus flower

Opened to the water's current

And to the sun's rising smile

Perished in a sudden tide

The question remains

 

The recent earthquake has reminded us all of last year's tsunami, especially as it harboured the possibility of a new tsunami wave. The long term consequences of the tsunami, at present, are not even mitigated despite all the humanitarian aid provided. The inhabitants of Aceh, for instance, will have to rely on continuous aid for years to come if their town is ever to be rebuilt. This makes it clear that the original idea of an anthology to benefit the tsunami victims has lost nothing of its relevance and nothing of its urgency. If you read this and you can think of any publishing company to contact with regard to its publication or have contacts to any organisation who could take over financing the project, I and all those committed to the anthology would highly appreciate this.
