The donkey under my arms I travel through Empty glasses Balkan olives Dance their bloom Cats straying through Empty veins Suck their roots The extract Madly swallowed Carved on the entrails Of a flute Explodes he thorny Head-first skies Ground teeth Dug Into the mouthpiece of a bagpipe This donkey called life Traverses The Balkans Eating and drinking The mellow fruits of this earth Grabbing some stones I plough my heart With sharp edges And lay myself to sleep On their ridge The Greek gods in your soil Ever drunk Slept Satisfied The Turkish moon Adorned your wrist Mah-e-Devran In sweeping words Remembered Suleiman's embrace The dark tree lit An every-day's gesture Like a cigaret Between mountains and sea Settled By sheer chance In a peasant's tart mouth Like a ground rose Within me

I don't have to understand every meaning for your words to be beautiful. If words flow like streams than I am happy. You have yet to put together a stream of ugly words to me. You're a beautiful poet.
