TRULY: this "soul light" has not been "slain in vain" because it inspired the powerful testimony of these lines and an enduring expanded awareness in the hearts of many. This is, of course, something much more than a poem, rather like a spirit dressed in language and singing to the willfully blind and willfully deaf of things they refuse to see or hear. Nevertheless, as long as the pens of poets endure, so too shall those made to become DEAD ALIVE. Thank you.
So much life is wasted. I've been pondering this of late. But is it wasted if even in confinement it will lift itself up in praise and prayer to God?
