Blood pearls on a budding rose,
Deep and playful
And radiant with her unrepeatable
Spectrum of colours
A butterfly's wings
Torn out in the casual work of
One moment
And called
A casualty
But the heavens know
And preserve
Every breath ever taken
For they bathed
Joyfully
In the dazzling light
Of this spirit
That took a woman's shape
Inscribed forever, now
And always
In the memory of this universe
Of light
Like the sigh of a shooting star
That fulfilled
A secret wish
Which broke through from the dark
Which is light
By another name
Do not say 'good-bye' lightly
And a moment do not mistake
For a moment
For a moment is all
There ever was and will be
And hence,
It cannot perish
Nor can you, Parnia
Whose true poetry rises
With every sunrise
And is nourished in every heart
Wounded and awakened
By love
Rendered free, rendered boundless
And immortal
In this
Reborn in every dawn
As long as the Firebird sings
Whose wing, with its tender flame,
Gives birth to life, undefeated
Endlessly light
In golden sweetness
Kissed by the rains and smiling
Defiant of despair
