Poem Artwork

Such are these places
where lovers of bliss behold
the angel of peace:

Dear Readers—

Please enjoy the following poem from the ELEMENTAL The Power of Illuminated Love. To enjoy the book in its entirety with more than 60 full color reproductions of award-winning art plus many more poems, please click here .

Above the burning,
and below the cold of all
the sad killing fields;

Where poetry sighs,
smiling magic in the lap
of flesh and blood joy;

Upon the shoulders
of elders carved beautiful
by sage artistry;

Where a starbright gown
trails healing through gardens of
eternity’s laughter;

In the arms of dreams
that shepherd hope through the eyes
of praying children;

Under waterfalls
bristling silk storms from the shores
of my skin to yours;

In the touch of a
woman glowing firemilk through
the tips of her breasts;

Afloat on rhythms
of minds too stoned on love to
recall how bombs work;

At the edge of a
man’s kiss casting holy spells
of sweet compassion;

Inside the beauty
of faith’s unburied treasure
sparkling truth and hope;

Beneath trees of song
heavy with angelic light,
evergreen with strength;

Upon the wings of
nightingales trilling comfort
to embattled grace;

In your heart’s whisper,
soft as love, that truly all
is well with your soul.

A true poetic salve which breathes of a true shalom - albeit hard-won. There is no such thing, I believe, as an easy peace. For the soul to be truly in repose there has perhaps not to be an absence of conflict, but an ability to achieve a secure equilibrium within it. REST is reserved for heaven, I think! All these jewels of ku centre, for me, on the most earthy: "Afloat on rhythms of minds too stoned on love to recall how bombs work" AMEN to that!! May all this almost mythical imagery bring this most longed-for result. THIS is the recipe which that Angel of Peace is inhalin through his/her peace pipe for certain sure! Gotta luv this, thank you. LOL K xx :))

I am enjoying the reading of the ANGELS’ SERIES.
This "Angel of Peace" ignites the dynamo of hope.

Strophe eighth,
“In the touch of a
woman glowing firemilk through
the tips of her breasts;”
.......................................... did record its echoes in my creative tools; and its closing lines keep singing to my inner mind.

Eris, Ares and Pluto won’t like to read "Angel of Peace", but Minerva, Euterpe, Erato and Phoebus will be pleased with its recital next time they feast in HELICON.

I salute You, Sublime Poet.

Gratefully,

I love the way you gently interspersed reality of war between what life could and should be about. Such lovely verse touched by angels with poetic harmony. Thank you for quenching my thirst with something beautiful this morning! Eileen

At the risk of not waxing poetically, my wish is that George W. would send you instead of Condy Rice to teach peace to our brethren across the seas.
Your beautiful words are fluent and loving.

You have give us, in each and every verse a position that mankind should make love, not war, to paraphrase a sixties' phrase. You have the talent to give the world these beautiful poems and would the world take them to their bosom and lay down their weapons, destroy their bombs, rid their thoughts of maddness and learn, through the eyes of this child-angel, to love and respect one another. Would that they would. Sigh. I am afraid that I do not see that happening. Maybe. Someday. Maybe. I am not optimistic.

You raise us above the smoke and roar of battle and oppression, to those spiritual realms, where Angels co-exist in peace and harmony..

As it should be

Fluid and beautiful work

A beautifully executed testament to love and those that are blessed to find it. However idyllic it may seem at times, Love and communication, I believe, is what all men and women hope for.

The reading of ANGEL OF PEACE was like sipping cool water and watching a flower open up in the morning sun. it moved upon my mind as an enrichment.

In fraternity and Poetic vision ...
