Where Guru?

An old guru in
a mountain cave--
a monestary touching
the sky-- both
just pretty dreams.

The guru has left--
finding what guru looked for
s/he has returned
to ordinary life.

The gurus are
among us--
if we listen
and watch
we can discover
what they found.

Left on the mountain tops
are the advanced practioners
endless dreamers
glowing teachers seeking students
also those spinning
endless webs of
endless ritual
elaborate dogma
and classic criticism. 

Quiet is in the mind
not the location
a noisy mind will still
be noisy in a quiet place.

Letting go all beliefs
living in the moment
are available everywhere
cancel your plane ticket.

Learn to lose
the fear of loss
learn to leave social
control to others

Must your 1st grade
teacher remember you?
Of course not--
graduate, wake up.
