Just a little more of what needs to be said.

How I was Born
by Barbara Lynn Terry

There was a male child,
Who acted so mild,
Cause deep inside,
She knew who she should be,
Like the girls jumping rope across the street,
She ached in her heart so sad,
That she knew she just had,
To be one of them, so pretty,
Long tresses so curly,
Her skin so soft,
That her thoughts were always aloft,
Dreaming of the day,
When she would be able to say,
I am the girl I so desparately need to be.

It wasn't my choice, for this way I was born,
I had no say, but yet my soul remains torn,
By all the folks who say, be a man
But I cannot, cause a girl I know I am.

Why must people always haunt,
The pure and innocent thoughts,
Of a young girl so trapped,
And her mind as yet unmapped,
By impure and jealous thoughts?

What are people afraid of,
With the likes of one like me?
What have we done, to deserve this hatred and scorn?
I had no choice, for this is how I was born.

You are beautiful, Barbie. Not a bad writer either. :-) I always get something from your writing. You help others sharing by sharing your struggle. ~~Nordette

Barbara, a deep, telling write. People are often afraid of what they don't understand, or of anything that is different from them and what they believe. Live and let live. Peace. Joyce

Barbie, dear Barbie,

No, you had no choice on what has happened or how you were born, but you are a courageous soul to pour out your most private, deepest feelings. Sure, not all people may understand or accept you, but I HAVE, and I consider you a blessing in my life! God be with you, and know you are in my prayers! I love you, Sister Barbie! Very well done! BRAVA!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your Tx. friend, Karen Lynn. :D

The Ravyn: Riding the Cyclone by Jennifer Sloan by Erin Kelly-Moen

This book has been eight years in the making. It is mostly a jumble of thoughts written down in old spiral notebooks and hidden in the bottom drawer underneath various manuals for software packages and hardware long since turned obsolete.
