Do you have a river bank to sit and ponder...

THE RIVER THAT FLOWS
By Barbara Lynn Terry
© 2005

There is a river that flows, strong and free,
Sometimes I go and just sit by the stream,
To ponder my thoughts and wildest dreams.
To ask God's help to make it through another day,
Cause without His help I will lose my way.

There is a river that flows, creates a mild breeze,
From its very clear waters, a trout I can see,
I smile as the fish goes swimming by,
Wriggling and waggling in the bright sunlight.

There is a river that flows, wild and free,
I look down and I can see,
The rocks and the sand,
So I put in my hand,
And feel their silent low,
In the river that flows.

We do havea river that flows so free as we release the words on paper. When I sit by the water I try to leave some of the pain there and write some form of release on paper. It is such a peace at the water, soothing, calm, leaving you with a warm feeling of positive energy. Excellent my friend. http://ourworld.cs.com/alejapoet

You are a TRUE Inspiration ! ! ! Have spent the past half hour reading your works. Such an amazing array of original thought and expressions. Good luck on health problems. We all have some, but you hold the gold trophy, and handle it well, indeed. Love, from Bill

There is so much peace in gently flowing water, and you have captured it very well. I love being by streams, they just soothe the soul...like this very lovely poem. Very nice.

A beautiful poem, Barbie. There is a sense of strength and cleansing of thought in the rushing waters of a river. I spend lots of time watching the Rio Grande, just a few blocks from my house. It has a beauty and strength all of its own. Happy Valentine's Day!
Take care,
Sherry
