Hey ladies, how many have actually had this experience?

Til Rises The Sun
by Barbara Lynn Terry

Why does he slam the door in the night?
Where does he go that he just might
Be able to have a fling or get drunk?
I tried to think but oh what bunk,
As I sit here crying and drowning in my tears.
I hear him now, and I start to tremble in my fears,
Because his rage is pouring out like the rain,
And I cannot find the strength to regain
My composure of a strong, fearless mind.

Oh what do I do? There's no place to hide.
Climb out the window and run to confide
In your one and only dearest friend,
But she is sleeping and I just cannot end,
This quaking fear in the pits of my bowels,
And here he comes getting nearer as he growls;
"Where are you woman? Come here right now!"

I am afraid and fear for my very life.
Oh Why did I agree to become his wife,
Only a month ago,
When I was vulnerable and very low?

Now he is a beast, a man of violent rage,
But to be still is not advice I'd call sage,
I have to hide or at least run,
Cause he'll beat me til rises the sun.

Uhm gee thanx a whole bunch for your reviews and your concerns. But as I said in each reply, and I'll say it here for the replies I didn't give, is that this is a reality for a friends mother. When my friend told me about her mother being in her third violently abusive marriage but had filed for divorce, I thought that this needed to be written, and I was thinking of how to word it.

You are all great friends, and we all need each other as women to confide in and support each other. The words came very fast after the first few lines, because I have been abused too, not as a wife tho, but the same abuse. I was told about a great site just for us women so we can get the support we need for our own self esteem, http://www.selfesteem4women.com. Many women in that site have been abused, or have failed relationships, or problems with their S/Os, fiances, boyfriends or husbands. We need reassurances everyday from other women. Stay strong, be confident and have self esteem. Barbie

I have been here.....My nightmares re awaken with these words, so many women live this life, unable to find the strength to leave. I was this woman, too. The damage is repairable, but it takes years of therapy and a good support system. God bless you, Barbie......

This is very disturbing. I know it happens a lot. It is a sad commentary on the "evolved" state of the human animal. Take care, Barbie. Love and peace,

Regis

Wow. Words fail me. It's a very powerful poem. Other than that, listen to Sandie May Angel, that's good advice.

Barbara:

I'm not sure if this is just a poem or if it's your real life. Please get away from him if it's your real life. No one deserve to live in fear.

I'm beginning to worry about you now.
