After the abuse can we still count our blessings? Can we really?

Count Your Blessings
by Barbara Lynn Terry

Count your blessings my dear,
Count them without fear,
Count the ones in favor,
Count the ones in disfavor.

Grab opportunity when it knocks,
Do not put up your hand to block
The underlying meaning'
of the emotions that send you careening.

Walk down the path to the right,
So that you may escape the fright,
Of the teeth that just might
Accost you during the night.

Walk, don't run, or you may miss,
The bus of life on the day this
Emotional decree will twist,
The very fabric of the mist.

Do not be afraid my little one,
For tomorrow the sun will come
And brighten our day some,
Chasing away all evil done.

Hi Barbara,we should always look to the sky for guidance and hope.We have to also get rid of negativity that is causing our lives to be in disarray even from friends or our own family members. We may not always get to where we want to be in our lives, but we should be thankful of the littliest things that makes us happy.A very good poem.take care of yourself.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
