What I Am Thankful For

I am thankful for the sun
as it warms my body.

I am thankful that I can
get out of bed and be alive.

I am thankful for the songs
the birds so joyously sing.

I am thankful that I have
a roof over me in the night.

I am thankful that I can see
the beauty of the flowers and the trees.

I am thankful for the food I eat,
and I am very thankful for every
heart I can touch.

I am thankful for the rain
so the crops can grow.

I am thankful for being allowed
to be this girl I have always been.

I am thankful for the stars in the sky
they are so beautiful that I just sigh.

I am thankful for my sense of humor
without which I would certainly die.

I am thankful to be able to write,
to read, to be there when I am needed
to be able to help those less fortunate
than myself.

I am thankful for the friends
that have accepted me without more
into their hearts.

I am thankful that God is my constant
companion, and for all that He has given me.

On this Thanksgiving, look at your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and those that are homeless, and say a prayer for each and every one. Thank you and a very happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
