Inspired by JC and his desires
I stand before the mirror Small breasts still firm Rubbing my hands over my Baby scarred belly Touching each thigh dimple Turning sideways Catching a glimpse of myself Many years ago. Standing there With naked face Void of powder eyeliner and mascara And for the first time in my 49 years I line my lips with ruby red lipstick, Close my eyes. Run my tongue between my teeth And red lips And wonder If you were to see me now Would you still desire me? Debra Parrish 3/12/05 �
