I was thinking...
that if you were here
we could go for a walk;
so I put the leash on the dog
and I walk
and while walking
I was thinking
that if you were here
we could eat dinner together
something I prepared
especially for us;
so I eat a piece of leftover stale pizza
and while eating
I was thinking
that if you were here
we could talk,
talk about anything;
so I talk to myself
and while talking to myself
it got me thinking
that if you were here
I could smile at you,
your head in my lap,
kiss you.
You know
I was thinking
that I think too much.
