My heart is gone, My soul went with it. Pieces of dreams remain, but nothing will ever be the same. Clothes in the closet with shoes to match. No life to fill them, you are never coming back. The phone rings, your recorded voice answers with a cheerful "Hello". I smile yet a moment, but then the tears begin to flow. I promised to love you, and you only for the rest of my journey. How can I stop now? How can I ever let go?

Ohhh, this is such a heart wrenching piece. For the visualization was spread before me for my heart to feast. Outstanding, potent poetry.

The vows say "Until death us do part." Usually someone dies first, leaving the other partner to recover and find new life for themselves. One of the most difficult things to do...This was a haunting, beautiful poem. May you find peace, love, and comfort. Wishing you many blessings, Michelle.
