Wow! Sandie this is expressed to the full, though originally I thought you were forcing the rhyme, it wasn't until the impactful end that I realised otherwise...superb write poetess.

You have powerfully expressed the living hell that so many kids, sadly, experience even within the "refuge" of their own homes and families. And the tragedy deepens as openess and honesty are driven further and further away into impossibility. The perpetrators of such "subtle" crimes must be psychotic - planning, plotting and manipulating the whole progress of events even before they have crossed the threshold. Thank you for this. We need to have our eyes and ears open to the possibilities of such scenarios taking place, even within our own communities, and do all we can to rescue those who need to have their silenced cries heard. What you pen here seems impossible - until we are presented with the evidence in the form of shattered lives and tortured people. Bless you, Kate xx

Heavy piece of poetry here. As I read I just knew this poem was going to slant in that direction, or at least in SOME direction other than the obvious one. This is so well done. Congratulations.
