Are Those Spots On Gramma's Face

My three-year-old granddaughter recently commented about the spots on my face and then realized it probably wasn't the best thing to say so she followed up with, "Gramma, dalmations have spots and they're really cute". This is for Fiona.

Are Those Spots On Gramma’s Face

Good news for you, Fiona

these spots are in my plan

Soon they’ll all join together

To create a perfect tan

Briana, the gray hairs suit me well

They’re a bargain version of bling

I grow my own sparkle

without paying for diamond rings

About the blue exercise pants

tell Jessica before she peeks

I’ve willed those pants to her

she deserves my only antique

And Noah. The lines on my face

are here for your convenience

Without them I’m afraid

you'd confuse your sister for me

You’re too young to recognize

my treasures when see them

Dear kids, don’t worry about me

my life is full of gems

GRANDCHILDREN????!!!! I DOOOOOON'T believe it!!! But this write sparkles, shimmers, blings and blinds away with a vivacity that is all youth, buttons and bows and I BET they'd swap some of their treasures for some of your more valuable ones! Wish I wrote it!! I shall view my own palty collection of "gems" in a more favourable light having read your wonderful "spin" which weaves my lifeless straw (hair!!) into gold. Very well done, TY Kate xx

kids are so perceptive, aren't they?? i know i was; still am now as an adult! LOL i sometimes still put my foot in my mouth; once asked a lady who was chubby if she was having a baby; she wasn't; she just had a big tummy. i was sooooo mortified; but she took it in good humor, which really surprised me! but boy, i sure apologized all over the where! leave it to me to do something stupid! LOL cute write, sandy; enjoy your grandbabies!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :D

Funny and my godchild wanted to know why I wore glasses. So I told her that if I went outside I would run into a tree. To which she said. "Well that will never do."
