So often religion drives crosses and pikes between two peoples;
Since one holds God's promise, the others cannot be equal.
When philosophy, logic and science study God, One is He.

 Religions hold no truth--all are born in myth and mystery.

Tyrants feel their guns and troops protect their right
To uphold their rule of fear--a despotic fright.
But suppressed people wait to prove their rulers' wrong;
As morale toughens and the popular mind grows strong.

If a people vote-in leaders who place a nation's plight beyond themselves--

When insurrectionists wish to lead the nation towards war,
The most civilized act for leaders—their greatest chore—
Is to draw all parties to meet. Ev'n the Taliban in faith
Are given the same equal power to negotiate.

Words!
Wars can not stay won by military might alone.
They lead to bloody bouts and atrocities unatoned.
'Tis not the civilized way to build a nation home.
Words integrate and accept in others what seems odd.
"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God."
