white ledge to
soften her edges,
untouched for more
than a decade,

a naked diarist,
she lights white
candles even
in the daytime,

she is sexually
intense against
the white background,

what unimaginable
white forces move
her, most will never
know,

she is like a rare
albino postage stamp
you want to lick, never
sealing her white seepage,

Dear Diary~~~White Gardenia
August 14, 2006

I've learned the
random vicissitudes
of fate today,

the fates, weavers,
Clothos, the spinner,
Lachesis, the measurer,
Atripos, the cutter of
life's white thread,

I share an idealization
of women as attainable
beings and worship
women with a devotion
that seeks physical
gratification...I want
to make her into white
cloth and roll on her, f***
all spiritual and magical
knowledge that belongs
to her.

Very personal voice and interesting composition.

An intriguing universe that I discover.

I don't often read modern poetry, but Sage Sweetwater's content seems pretty individual. It doesn't matter what your sexuality is. If you are a heterosexual woman, you can still identify with the Author's romantic writing.

the color sensation white can be produced by different physical stimuli, some unimaginable, some gratifying and some very tasty ...

... Yeah... white does that to you, don't it? Like the burn of a snowfield. Total vanilla to the olfactory senses and space and permission to the mind and spirit. Extravagently exploratory. Heady gardenia is my absolute favourite, its lush waxiness so sexy. It's bloody madder roots must be a woman thing. Unique and strangely cohesive in an esoteric kinda way. Calming, thank you. These are like two sides of the same coin-the word usage in the first one is brilliant, really evokes lots of beautiful images-that postage stamp image is one of those where you go, damn, wish I wrote that, lol-the second half seems harder, more razor's edge and more direct and rough than loving and ethereal. Excellent-

....she is like a rare

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
