emotions, wing-kissed

voice say "she was
born in the summer
of her 47th
year,"

the bond between them,
her thighs running sap
from the evergreens,
the sweet scent lingers
on her black
jeans,

whipcords a broken
guitar string in the
air, encircles the
silver ring around
the aspen with
their carved
initials,

it's Colorado Rocky Mountain
High, she's seen it rain fire in
the sky, she's a woman lover
and a firebrand writer,
nothing will ever state
her passionate feelings
as dramatically as
nature,

she was born in the
summer of her 47th
year, her heart still
knows some
fear,

through the power of
her observations, she
sees she has initiated
intimacy with another,
understanding it to
touch the soul at
this altitude in an
awakened
sense of
wonder,

*Sage Sweetwater spends time in Aspen, Colorado.  She gets her inspiration to write from Maroon Bells and Independence Pass. She's drank a flute or two of champagne at the Hotel St. Jerome and has been known to frequent the Hard Rock Cafe in Aspen. 

She supports Aspen's streetcorner professional musicians and lays a few dollars in their opened red-velvet lined music cases to support Aspen's Music Festival and the artists...
