Azael Calhoun Tied the Reins Rains Pancake Worship
(The Ballad of Azael Calhoun)

tale of
a stirring
encounter,
ghost town,

Azael Calhoun
tied the reins, she
went into the saloon
for red eye, shot glass
and a bottle of whiskey,

prairie epiphany
poured by saloon
mirror angel passing
out the flour and baking
powder gave rise to The
Ballad of Azael Calhoun, "say
it louder," Azael said, pointing
upstairs to the rooms of harlots,
"they protect the good women from
unwanted attention, schoolteachers
and missionaries such as yourself" - rain
muddied the streets, night of prostitution on
the Western frontier, "look at yourself in the saloon
mirror - pancake worship in the morning, give rise to
occupation,"

Azael Calhoun
walked upstairs,
knocked on their doors,
"which one of you claims
to f*** my rough edges, rain
muddies the streets, wash the
soiled doves,"

six doors to
six whores opened
giving rise to occupation,
brought themselves out into
the muddied streets, rain dripping
off lips of consecration,

Azael Calhoun
untied the reins,
horse and Azael,
six whores walked
to the livery stable, f***ed
her rough edges, Azael walked
back into the saloon, looked herself
in the mirror, red eye glowing, thighs
leavening, cream of tartar, saloon mirror
angel with her Clabber Baking Powder 1899,
"say it louder" Truth Rising...

I...

... is that with or without the maple syrup, may I ask? If I need some lemons squeezing, I shall know where to come! :)) Chilli pepper hot as per u, Darlin, and just crying out to all those gals who are natural-born Suzettes.. and even, maybe, to all those boys named Sue?! More than truth rising here, along with the dust. Another few notches on the Firebrand's guitar... K xx
