the mass of
cattle bred by
unfaithful stewards,
not to question what
they have been told,

snakes in disguise
be eaten by vultures
in the biblical food chain,
they placed you where they
wanted you, forged through the
door of your weak spiritual center
obliterating creativity with false religion,
but now...

Enlightenment
the mana for survival,

Sapere Aude, intellectual
self-liberation, she must break
the shackles of despotism, blood
of the bird dare to be wise, that color
a living hue of magic, a loose translation,
she who has begun is half done, dare to know!

naive'té' waits for
the stream to quit
running before she crosses,
originality from Horace's first
book of Epistles.

Western soil rich, and water holistic,
the Rosicrucian well cuts springs
feeding the mind channel,
spidery lines marking
missionaries who
have ventured
here,

the convert
attachment lying
at the core of identity
laying another brick in the
wall,

trace the hieroglyphs
that rain down the bricks
incised with lust,

another brick in the wall
life-everlasting begins
with a journey through
the brick wall of fire
and spitting cobras
into the hall of judgment,

so help me god if outsiders
dare come into this land to change
our customs, their world will be plunged
into apocalyptic gloom by example, their ashes
scattered in Classic Maya burial now throughout
twenty twelve and beyond.

Sapere Aude!

East is east and west is west and men are generally shits, but I don't think quite as reptilian as you indicate here. Patrick

Wow! What awesomeness! There is wisdom and theology and mysticism all rolled into one.

Once again in this anthem to liberation, Sage, I can only marvel at your range and the depth of your wisdom and understanding.

Gettin back on track
Onward....see onto the deer trail
Those snake bites with forked tongues
Are damed with what cowards do
Threats unable to move outa the grass
Let's bale this Timothy Hay for our stock
As I remove burrs from our mares Indian rug
Wet With Truth Feels Good...
Love's Bounty...Vickie

she who has begun is half done, dare to know!

and as Kant said, "what is it to know" ? and the beat goes on.

I am reminded of a quote from 'radio flyer': "History is all in the mind of the teller. Truth is all in the telling."
