Preacher You Got to Prime the Water Pump

Sermon's dry
Pour water in to get water out
Noah's Arc stuck in a sandbar

Pumped Sucker rod
Gaskets failing
Replacement Vintage parts

Backorder Amen
They don't make 'em
Like they used to

I can assure you that there are millions out there that don't realize that in the old days you literally had to prime the pump. I'll leave the metaphors to you. Patrick

Sage, perhaps he has forgotten the didacticisms he developed in the seminary. Or maybe, he lost the fire deep down in his gut to reach out and teach the gospel. Yet I agree, "they don't make 'em, like they used to". Love and peace to you my dear friend. Jon Michael

There are a few preachers who need their pumps primed so they don't die of the thirst of being a human being. There are a multitude of so-called Christians that need their pumps primed so they may live the life of a true Christian and not just one who goes to church on Sunday in his or her best clothes.

This is a very deep poem and can have many meanings to many people, but the meaning it has for me is, that religion is all but dried up, and needs and little primer to get it going again on the right path this time. Thank you for sharing, Sage.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.

As one who has preached for 50 years, I know the pump must be primed often. Most of that priming comes when preacher spend time with the people to know where they are in life. Thanks.

Perhaps like a lot of things done in the name of organized religion...the pump was pushed just a little too hard.

He,he, he sure sounds like he needs a new pump, but all the parts are manufactured in Mexico....

Be always safe,

Preacher needs a transfusion;
his blood supply long ago dried up!
money gone, no more sin;
how he gonna pay for his new Mercedes?
How he gonna keep his congregation without sin?

Excellent poem Sage!

Thanks Sage! Pump primed and the water's starting to flow! You rock, you know!

Peace and vintage parts straight from Leviticus,

It was probably made in China. Parts are available in Walmarts.
Another gem by you, Sage.
