I have never known you to wax scientific, but the atmosphere is here and it is one of the reasons, even though volcanoes give off exciting fireworks and earthquakes take the ground beneath us, if it weren't for the air we breathe and the protection it gives us from all sorts of cosmic radiation, Sundance wouldn't be real and the old West wouldn't exist.
