Steed Breathing Fireballs

president of hell
for my lord taketh
away from me the stewardship

we call every one
of his debtors doc holliday
laughs he can barely get out
the talk without busting a gut
"how much owest thou unto my lord?"

it brings down
the faro house the banker
said "take thy bill and set down
quickly and write fifty"

doc wrote fifty huckleberries
he said to another "and how much
owest thou?"
the other says "take thy
bill and write fourscore"

the parable
of the unjust steward
doc just delivered the sermon
to the thief—cheat—and liar

"that woman
can give us house!
I cannot dig—to beg
I am ashamed no servant
can serve two masters for
either he will hate the one
and love the other or else he
will hold to the one and despise
the other ye cannot serve god and
mammon"

doc laughed
until his tonsils hurt
the godly whiskey jesus
labeled the thief dishonest

let us never forget
for a moment the look
of the steed breathing
fireballs

Tuberculosis got Doc Holliday where it hurts. There are a lot of folks out there that are spouting that god makes mammon for them. Serving two masters.

This is really interesting, Sage... most people call it the parable of the unjust or dishonest steward. I think that Jesus was trying to make the point that people know how to do what they have to to get by in the world, but they are clueless in terms of knowing how to get by spiritually.
