I was asked to read something about my friend Mario at a memorial service. He was a member of our Landings Writers' Club. A humble man with a kind heart; he knew how to write from his heart.

Mario, Dear Mario… As a writer, you inspired us, dear Mario. You inspired us with your lovely expressive words throughout your stories. You moved us with your humble kind spirit; you gave your all, without taking any glory. Mario, dear Mario… Mario we miss you. We miss your character because you spoke the truth like a real man. We miss you for your integrity; you were not afraid to take a stand. Our admiration for you was evident; through your writing, it will never end. Mario, dear Mario… Mario, we respect you. We respect you as a writer, as an author, and as a friend. Your writing will always be there, your history was penned. Mario, dear Mario… Mario, we came to love you. We grew to love you and we miss you our dear friend. Mario, dear Mario…. You body is not with us now; but the memory of your writing is engraved.
