It may be a New Year in 2010 but some are still in a war zone once again. The important thing is to not to let our support for our troops slide. Just write them a note and let them know we are on their side.

 Forget Our Troops? - NOT!

Our troops are still fighting and dying in a distant land.

All they ask of us is that we not forget them.

We need to pray for them and try hard to understand.

It's a new year for all and we face problems day and night.

But our troops are still out there someplace, somewhere.

They have to have faith, hope and the will to fight.

There is one way to make things a little bit better.

That’s to send our soldiers who are serving us

a note of appreciation in the form of a letter.

 Amen

John Michael Domino, Major, (ret) USAF

Thank you so much, John, for this wonderful poem, but also for the link. I will definately be writing some letters to support our men and women at war. They are the true heroes of the world.

Wonderful gesture John-
I know many of our troops are away from loved ones during this season, and getting messages of hope from across America has to ease their loneliness.
The words of the poem speak volumes about your commitment to our troops.
Thanks for giving me a unique opportunity to express my gratitude for the work our troops do.
To your continued success~
