American Society

Embrace the pollution of our society,
Let it smother the progress of American propriety.

Material wealth,
gained with prolific stealth.

Increase production...
The meaning of life reduction.

Politicians try to gain popularity,
As we struggle with our own familiarity.

Government spends,
To keep up with the latest trends.

Subliminal messages hidden in advertisement,
As we are soon to forget what compromise meant.

The dollar gains,
Poverty's pains.

Yet, poverty goes unnoticed until a sudden disaster.
Everyone's heart compels to reach out, the media is our master.

But soon the stories will die out,
Poverty will then again cry out.

This time to a deaf ear,
As no one has time to hear.

Government lubrication...
Their creed and dedication,
For their own life preservation.

To bend or break,
The chances we take

Whether it be Hurricane disaster support,
Or War Relief Effort.

Be wise, simplify, give or choose to ignore, for now we still have choices.
The media is our master, but we are the voices.

From the land of the milked and honeyed here’s a few political faux pas and a bit of attitude exposed to the harsh light of a Canadian who actually has their own opinion.
