In the chaos of this night
shadows walk past;
I try to hold them, but
they slip out of my hands.

In the vastness of the desert
(where wind is the eternal master)
life plays a losing game
with sand.

I live its confusion,
collecting the winnowed remains
of some map.

My progress erases each day...

WOW!! This is my fav of yours, Calvin! So easy to grasp that it slips between the fingertips of my mind like refreshing and cleansing waters. I adore its solidity within its fluidity of both form and concept. To me, this is entirely concrete. TY LOL Kate xx
