Our Doubts

Our doubts rise
on the waves of a tempest,
on the great sleeves of wind,
on the towers of hope,
in the pulpits
where leaders preach.
Our doubts wear
a dress that looks
different from different sides;
it has folds, curls, and holds
the dirt and sweat
of our lives.
Our doubts speak
in the muteness of empty cities
where glass houses house
silicone dolls.
They are humps of haste
made of warm clothing
and narcissistic pride.

it can help but mostly it can destroy our world veiw.
i liked the first stanza with the doubt arising in pulpits.
i dont hear sermons often enough these days for doubts to rise but i do know that when i was in the Mosque today i could have easily been converted had i not been so sure in what i believed.
i thought that interesting.
a very well constructed and thought out piece.
