I’m floating,
So high,
So high…I look down--
I see the path below
Meandering to and fro
And I know,
Oh, how well I know,
I am floating in a direction
I really should not go.
The air is so intense,
So intensely rich…
The atmosphere’s damp with the past--
I am suffocating here,
Gliding ever too near,
And I fear,
Oh, how much I fear,
I won’t be able to take it,
The path is not very clear.
So I must come down
And let go of my cloud,
Drop silently to the ground,
Investigate the path…investigate
The path, wherever it may lead…
Let go of the past, let go of my fear,
Just let it go…
Let it go,
Oh, how well I know
That I should just let it go…
Better to venture a path and learn from experience, as opposed to sitting still in ignorance. King Solomon could have written this, "Let go, and let God."

Excellent!!!!
Sometimes the wrong path is better as we then really learn perhaps our most valuable of lessons!
How true, Dina, that we should let some things go. Others things are made to hold onto for life. Wonderful write!
Peace.

Sometimes we hang onto the things that happened in the past too long. We should let them go if they keep us from enjoying the good things in our life now, but be sure to make wise choices. Wise ones allow us to enjoy life more.
