There’s a sense of loss,
Of time standing still,
Death in the shadows...
I never thought I’d be here,
Here...again. Ever.
When Angel wings grow damp,
They can no longer provide shelter
From the Source.
When your soul is threaded,
Forced through the eye of a needle
You will fall...you will,
And there isn’t much of a choice.
No one asks, “Hey, do you want to go back?”
Well, maybe they do...
But they didn’t ask me.
No, they didn’t ask me a damn thing.
Rebellious to the core,
But with reason. I can do my job
From the other side, like I have done
For millenia...millenia.
Take your white light from me again,
Take it, I say! Did you care when I was 3,
Or 4, or 5 or more?
God, I love you...I love you!
How much longer must I stay?
