This is a requim I wrote for my novel, Teacher on the Run, after getting the rights back from Publish America. It has died an honourable death, sacrificing its life for the cause.
Tonight I lay an old friend to rest
a friend who died before her time
on the heels of her coming out party
a victim of the cruel machinations of the world
she died by deletion
and now I lay a single rose on the casket of my friend
Janet - Not knowing the details or the why, I cry for you, wondering why your published work had to die. I do encourage you to let it lie a bit, then look into alternatives. There must be a decent publisher out there which can give your novel the marketing it deserves. I wish good things for you. - Bill
