The milk and the cookies for Santa,
the children had left on a little table
standing besides the Christmas tree,
were gone in the morning,
as we haven't got a cat or parakeet
and nobody was up during the night...
it seems that we got a small miracle, to me.

The exited children were up until late,
didn't want to, but were very sound asleep,
when,by past midnight
we went to draw the blankets up
to tuck the small angels inn,
and mom and dad, skeptical grown ups,
are the ones that...OK, OK, we "believe"

The house's windows and doors were closed,
no way anybody could come in,
unless...coming down the chimney...
that most be it! because we haven't got
no mouse, no cat, no dog or parakeet,
but if the milk and cookies are gone...
well, it seems that Santa really was here!!!

and...I believe!!! I believe!!! I believe!!!
