What an emotional write, you've brought tears to my eyes with this one. This reminded me of when our long time family pet passed on, it's a difficult loss for all! You've penned it well my friend!

I kinda feel that way about the beloved people I've lost. Always children in our hearts. "that's my dog, and not His." - a great great line and ending.
Deep insight into the heart of a child. Makes me want to cry for the child. To love is to risk, as every pet-owner knows, but for a child, the death of a pet is so hard. Then they look to the adults in the family for comfort and understanding.

I've heard it said that many people consider their pets as members of the family. A child would certainly take the death of a pet hard; and I think you have great insight into how a child would feel: it was my fault, something I did or said.

of responsibility, though once I took a pet to the Aspca, went home regreting the idia returned the next day, to retrive him, only to discoverd they euthanized him
and they talk about animal abuse, they didn't have the courtsey to at lease place him for adoption, That day I cried

Princess Geneveive has a wonderful home, with humans who love her. She and her humans try to talk to each other but Genevierve dosn't speak human and her humans don't speak dog. Genevieve often wishes she had another dog to talk to.
