Sunday, May 13en, Mother's day, this one is dedicated to all of you that remember this day with the welts on your skin...

Poem Artwork

A tear, warm and defenseless
traveling down on my face
like a furtive and shy ghost,
a wet and delicate trail she left;

sadness, solitude or rejection,
a cause for it I couldn't say,
but my eyes were telling you
what was in my heart, pain;

tears, like wet withered petals
of a rose that I threw away,
after reading the words saying
love, written on a dagger's blade.

Thank goodness for those spankings. I'd be such a brat without them!

I can relate to that dagger, most of the time it was dangling above my head!!
For me writing about the insanity of the one who popped me out, has been most liberating, and it helps others to identify, place into perspective, and move on.
Write on Georg!

Georg having had one of the worlds best moms, it grieves me
when I hear of those who had such sad experiences with their mother's. I know a few bad ones and it is tragic for the children. I'm sorry you have this remembrance. Good you could wtite about it, hope that it helps.

Eileen

My own mother loved me the only way she knew how. Sadness is it wasnt the love I needed or the kind I could feel. Yet she still bares the title. Lady J

Sad, well written, and evidence that a mother's failure doesn't reflect in her son's actions. Difficult, Very Difficult. - HB
